The people over at IKEA are all over the clever DIY projects shoppers have been crafting with its basics. In fact, the Swedish brand has a not-so-secret website that’s a library chock-full of IKEA hacks that will turn your world upside down—or, at least, your house.

If you’ve yet to be acquainted with Livet Hemma (which translates to “life at home”), it’s time to be formally introduced. Livet Hemma is, as the website states, “another page of IKEA,” but it’s a page filled with genius hacks, ideas, and inspiration to turn your IKEA products into custom items that will make your friends say, “Where in the world did you get that?”

“Here you will find news, reportage, do-it-yourself tips and much more that inspire you to make life at home a little more the way you want it. Every day,” Livet Hemma promises (and delivers).

DIYs are dreamt up by both Livet Hemma staff and interior designers like Pella Hedeby, who crafted this room divider/picture display from three IVAR side units, a roll of rattan, and a few hinges. (Note: the IVAR storage system is one of the most popular DIY-able units on the site.)

There are currently over 380 DIY projects to scroll through on the Livet Hemma site. You can also click around to other categories like “Environmental Smart,” where you’ll learn about IKEA products that will help lessen your carbon footprint, and “Storage,” which is packed with both inspiration posts and DIY projects that will help enhance your current storage situation.

Admittedly, it can be a bit tricky navigating the site due to wonky Google translations from Swedish to English. But the gorgeous photography in each post helps tell the story and get your creative juices flowing.

Unfortunately, a representative for IKEA Sweden mentioned that Livet Hemma will no longer be updated, but that the site will remain live. So go ahead and set aside a few hours to spend falling down the Livet Hemma rabbit hole, and take a few notes of hacks you may want to try out for yourself.
