Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I’m currently in transition after a car accident last year. About three months ago, I made the move to the Queen City after an extended stay here from mid-May to the end of July. I let the universe guide me. I am a writer and editor, as well as an interior stylist and HR professional. I don many hats. A Jill of several trades, if you will.

I love the color combination of black and gold. I reupholstered this bench with a fabric shower curtain found at Target! The string lights on the bed were also nabbed at Target. I think they add whimsy to the space, as well as more intimate and less intrusive lighting.

My happy places are HomeGoods and Louis Vuitton. My favorite thing to do these days is decorate my new apartment or find ways to make it cozier and even more aesthetically appealing. I also love spending time with my family. I’m always on the hunt for items that will add small touches of glamour, but make a big impact in my living space.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Soft, luxurious, feminine, worldly, chic.

What I've deemed the "Contemplation Corner" of my bedroom!

What is your favorite room and why? My bedroom. I spend the most time here. I have a tall, wide window that is the premier source of natural light into my space and 14′ ceilings. The window is also great for people watching! In this room, I’ve installed a seating area, and I placed my coffee table here, as well.

Since visiting Paris last summer, I've had a strange obsession with the Eiffel Tower. When I found the pic over the bed, I had to have it! Though the coloring is pastel in nature, it's still vibrant, and the rhinestones add a touch of glamour.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? Oliver by Oliver Gal canvas art!

Any advice for creating a home you love? Yes! Trust your own sense of creativity. If you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks?

I love plants and have them all over my house! I fell in love with them last year after my accident. Working with and taking care of them helped me through a lot of sleepless nights. I would repot or style them as an antidote to insomnia. The plant ladder is a little DIY project I'm very proud of.

Also, if you see something in your shopping adventures that you think will work well in your space, snap it up! Chances are, you will always be able to return it within a set timeframe should it not work. But if you don’t nab it, you might not be able to find it again. I’m still experiencing some regret over a table I saw that would have looked amazing in my bathroom. I didn’t buy it, and I’ve never seen it again. I went on a wild goose chase for that thing!

I used shower curtain hooks to hang plants from the shower rod. The foliage makes it feel as close to a tropical oasis as possible!
