Target Is Going Bold and Boho This Spring
Plush textures and plantspiration are everywhere this spring. Throw in a little rattan and you’ve got yourself a very cool, very now take on a boho chic bedroom. All of this is in Target’s just-released collection called Opalhouse, which takes us on a globetrotting journey without leaving our home.
Let’s pour ourselves a lychee cocktail and talk about how to use these lush and leafy vibes to style the IndoChic bedroom of our dreams…
Opalhouse’s palette is all about nature’s jewel tones. A green velvet quilt grounds the room in rich color, while bohemian sheets with yellow and teal velvet throw pillows bring the bed into full bloom. To carry the blue-green mood through the bedroom, we added a Myna Velvet Tufted Arm Chair, embellished floor pillows and a round teal rug.
Natural materials balance an abundance of color. The Michelia Queen Rattan Headboard and rattan wall mirror lighten things up and create an airy counterpoint to denser materials like velvet. A floor rattan basket, repurposed as a planter, plays off a Mokara Nightstand—the perfect little perch for fresh-cut flowers.
It helps not to take yourself too seriously—decorating should be fun! Put a peacock on it, or add some removable wallpaper for a low-commitment pop of pattern. Have fun, and loosen up some! Check out the full Opalhouse collection, now at Target, to create a suitably curious and creative space for your curious and creative spirit.
