If you’re reading this, I hope you love vintage homes. Because if so, you’re in for a treat. This 1957 construction is a true time capsule of its era. While the ranch may look somewhat unassuming from the outside, stepping inside it is like stepping back in time.

The living room, for one, is a massive sunken rotunda blessed by wall-to-wall carpeting. Bisecting the round room is an ornamental see-through half wall with a giant pillar of a flagstone fireplace smack dab in the middle. It’s a statement-making feature that also serves the purpose of dividing the sprawling living area into two zones — one for conversation, and one for movie nights.

Fluted columns and flagstone walls wrapping around the room also create textural interest, a feeling of grandeur, and lots of interesting nooks and crannies while maintaining big, open space.

In the kitchen, you know there is wooden wall paneling galore, plus a built-in glass cabinet where you can stylishly display all of your martini glasses and other vintage glassware.

Turquoise countertops, terrazzo floors, and a floral ceiling border complete the mid-century modern look.

If you enjoy the kitchen’s motif, you’ll love the home’s other rooms, which serve up plenty more turquoise walls and wooden wall paneling. The unexpected showstoppers, though, are the bathrooms. Forget white subway tiled showers and pedestal sinks — these vintage baths boast flagstone walls, mauve tiling, and a sunken bath with a chandelier suspended overhead. They are the vintage gems of maximalist dreams, as is the home as a whole.
