This Tropical Bar Cart Refresh Is Ready for Springtime Cocktails
While spring slowly reveals itself bud by bud and bloom by bloom, there’s always that one moment in the season where it just “clicks.” It’s that feeling that makes you want to leap into a brighter, breezier style moment as soon as possible. Which doesn’t have to be a major change! Simply by introducing a few new accents, rearranging favorite pieces already in your home, or switching to a springier scent, you can breathe new life into your space just in time for sunnier skies and rising temps.
We asked former set designer and current DIY expert Cynthia Moreno how she’d welcome the seasonal shift into her space. We loved her Whimsical Modern mood board so much that we started thinking about how to use it in the real world! So here’s a simple small-space refresh that’s inspired by springtime colors, textures, and scents — because scent is one of the most powerful ways to set a new tone in your space.
Inspired by Cynthia Moreno’s whimsical living room update, we revamped a bar cart for springtime cocktail parties. Next, whimsical accents like exotic bird cocktail stirrers and a pineapple cocktail shaker add subtle tropical flair, while a flamingo side table and decorative tea towel provide pops of color. Think of tea towels like throw pillows: small finishing touches that are endlessly exchangeable to suit the season or your mood. (Plus, they’re handy for bartending spills!) Display your glassware on a chic tray, add a couple of crystal decanters, then admire how the spring sunshine makes them all sparkle.
