When it comes to wacky home buys, there’s always something new and weird to discover on Twitter. For instance, this vintage chair found at a secondhand shop in Liverpool, England that is “definitely not haunted” — at least, that’s how it’s labeled, which kinda seems like it definitely might be haunted.

Twitter user Heather Cowan shared a hilarious shot of her recent find, a floral-printed upholstered wingback chair in front of other furniture pieces with the same print. Right in the center sits the “definitely not haunted sign,” with Cowan joking, “That’s definitely something a haunted chair would say..”

In a matter of days, Cowan’s tweet racked up 1.5 million likes, over 140,000 retweets, and nearly 6,000 quote tweets from fellow users who are equally amused by the slightly unsettling situation.

Naturally, the jokes came in like clockwork, with one user sharing a decidedly creepy skeleton chair, perhaps hosting the bones of whatever spirit is haunting the upholstered chair. Someone else shared a photo of a garbage bin with the number “13” painted on it, along with a handwritten sign attached that reads: “NOT FOR SALE (CURSED AF),” to which the user wrote: “This was near my old house. Same energy.”

Plenty of people shared that they actually would like to buy the chair, with one person joking, “Well, we have to take the chair at its word I suppose… 😅.” For shoppers looking to score a spooky addition to their home, Cowan noted that she found it at Oxfam, a thrift store chain located on Smithdown Road in Liverpool.

There’s no telling what might happen after you bring it home, however, so buyer beware… after all, you can’t say you weren’t warned.
