This Vodka Brand Wants To Throw You A Free Wedding
Have you found yourself pushing off your future nuptials based on financial concerns? It’s no secret that weddings don’t come cheap — according to research firm The Wedding Report, the average 2022 wedding cost 27,000.
If costs are delaying you from tying the knot, Skyy Vodka just might have you covered. Following the historic passage of the Respect for Marriage Act, the brand has teamed up with NYC Pride to cover the costs of 100 wedding ceremonies.
“As a supporter of marriage equality, Skyy Vodka is proud to stand alongside the LGBTQIA+ community,” Sean Yelle, Campari Sr. Category Marketing Director, said in a statement announcing the news. “The progressive spirit of Skyy Vodka is rooted in its California origins, and the brand is committed to making a positive impact on social justice issues that affect the community at large.”
Couples aged 21 and older can enter for a chance to win a free wedding by sharing a picture of themselves “toasting” together on Instagram, tagging @SkyyVodka, and including the hashtag #SKYYSaysIDo. Interested parties can also enter by emailing a picture of themselves toasting with their loved ones to skyysaysido@multiply.us. You have until today, December 31, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. ET, to enter the contest. Multiple entries will result in immediate disqualification.
The 100 lucky winners will be contacted by Instagram notification on or around January 9, 2023. In addition to getting their wedding expenses covered, each winner will receive $150 in cash. You can view the Skyy Vodka sweepstakes’ full guidelines here. Good luck!
