Why we have a crush on this property

Lofts, by nature, are cool. Everyone knows this. It’s pretty easy to see why: their brick walls, exposed pipes and beams, soaring ceilings, and concrete floors make them a joy to look at—and unusual to live in. It’s a loft’s atypical home qualities that draw us in, and this one for sale in Houston is no different.

This corner unit in a converted industrial building is, in a word, huge. The three-level home stretches to just over 2,800 square feet, offering three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, an open-concept kitchen and living area (with custom oversized windows), a lower-level home office, and a two-car garage. What’s more: each bedroom has its own bathroom, and the main suite opens to a rooftop terrace.

The loft’s bones date back to 1946, but the place has been updated to be quite sleek and modern. A chef’s kitchen boasts top-of-the-line appliances and new cabinetry, while the bathrooms offer updated fixtures and finishes. A floating staircase connects each floor to the next, and at the top of them, the main bedroom’s ensuite bath comes with both a glass-fronted shower and a roomy soaking tub. Huge closets, a laundry room, and outdoor space complete this very hip package.
