Why we have a crush on this property

As someone who’s rented three apartments in New York City within the span of two years, I’m no stranger to the pull of wanting to browse Zillow for something just a liiiiittle nicer. But if I lived in this co-op for sale in the West Village, I think the days of longingly scrolling apartment listings would be out of my system.

Tucked away on a residential street near Washington Square Park, the two-bedroom offers a lot more than just a prime location. Inside, there’s rustic charm in the form of exposed beams on the ceiling, whitewashed brick walls, and even a bookcase with a rolling ladder in the home office.

I used to think that I’d want ungodly amounts of living space after being cooped up in my Brooklyn studio all winter, but this home for sale has proved me wrong. The office, which acts as the home’s second bedroom, also boasts a daybed and space for two desks, not to mention some lovely light fixtures and views of the Village.

Beside the office, there’s a living area lit by a chandelier, which overlooks the kitchen. There, you’ll find marble tile, a Bertazzoni gas range, a Liebherr refrigerator, and custom walnut cabinetry. Down the hall, there’s a small bedroom with built-in nightstands. Glass pocket doors separate most of the rooms in the home, saving space and allowing maximum amounts of sunlight into the place.

The unit also has one thing that every New Yorker covets: an in-home washer and dryer. (They’re Miele, to boot.) This snazzy spot is listed for $895,000 by Triplemint
