Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My home reflects my personality. I like beautiful shapes and embrace color in my life — especially in my choice of decor and fashion. I work in the fashion industry and enjoy spending my time — both at work and in my leisure time — exploring new trends in both fashion and design. I’m specially passionate about jewelry and spend a lot of my spare time designing unique jewelry pieces. I’ve started to sell some of my work to friends and acquaintances and continue to work and explore opportunities to develop my passion into my lifelong career.

I identify as a multicultural individual with rich and loving roots in American and Latin American cultures. I come from a large and richly diverse family where individuality and differences are embraced and celebrated. I bring my rich cultural heritage into my preference for rich color and design in home decor as well as fashion.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Eclectic incorporating Indian details and colors.

What is your favorite room and why? My apartment is very small so my living space incorporates my bedroom, small sitting ara, and small kitchen. I think my favorite is my bedroom area because I love the juxtaposition of exposed “old world” brick with the traversing wall of sheer draperies that I added to create the illusion of a separate space and bring the softness and lightness of fabric into the space.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? A new walnut dresser in a mid-century modern style. Love this piece for it’s beautiful simple design, the richness and warmth of the walnut, and especially the storage.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Let your personality show in your choices of decor and surround yourself with beautiful pieces that remind you of what you love and who you are.

Thanks Ana!!
