Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: This is my first home I’ve been able to wholly and fully call mine. Every old (haunted) book and salt and paper shaker set is exactly where I want it. The dark, unpainted wood and honestly the compact size gives the space the cozy, homey feel I strive for in my space. I couldn’t be happier.
My home is very much a reflection of me. It has to be. I want people to come over not just to play hostess, but to show the cozy side of myself that isn’t as easy to share in a social setting unless I’m very comfortable. My home represents the warm hug I want to give people!
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Growing collections and OG IKEA
What is your favorite room and why? I only have one room, so I guess my main one!
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? An antique collection of short stories from various authors. Official title: “Gleanings from Popular Authors, Grave and Gay.”
Any advice for creating a home you love? Discovering a few key colors I absolutely loved was huge. Cerulean is such a perfect color, and while I wear almost exclusively black I love to decorate with color. Cerulean lends a bold pop that is still neutral enough to go with just about anything.
