Things we love about this property crush:

First, let’s talk about the exterior of this property: a classic brownstone on a tree-lined block in West Chelsea. It’s what New York City stoop dreams are made of. And the inside, created by two contiguous landmark townhouses, is even more specular. A complete renovation by architects Beyer Blinder Belle has taken place resulting in 9′ 2″-ceilings, custom moldings, refinished wood flooring, arched windows, and tons of storage space. For reference, here’s what it looked like before the renovation:

The home was originally designed to be a three-bedroom, but is now reconfigured as a two-bedroom with a dining area—the new owner can choose which set-up fits them best. The living space offers loads of natural light, along with a wood-burning fireplace and slate terrace that leads to a large private courtyard garden (yes, in 2018 Manhattan).

The kitchen is narrow galley-style, but offers Thermador, Miele, Viking, and Sub-Zero appliances.

Our favorite feature of the home might be the master bedroom with its exposed brick wall, built-in bookcases, and a second wood-burning fireplace. How cozy and luxurious is it to have that feature in your own bedroom? (And in New York City?!) The master bath feels like a personal spa with Rohl polished nickel fixtures and a washer and dryer unit. The second bathroom has a dreamy claw-foot tub and heated floors by Nu-heat.

The building is part of Fitzroy Place, a six-unit co-op just steps from the High Line and Chelsea Market.
