Super chunky knits are all the rage right now (we even had Kaitlin arm knit us a blanket on Facebook Live). After watching a cozy throw get knit in just 15 minutes, I wondered what other cool things you could make with this gorgeous bulky yarn. Here are five more projects for your home that you can arm knit in an afternoon:

1. Pillow

Who can say no to a chunky knit pillow? This is the sort of cushion cover that would cost nearly $100 at a store, but you can make for about $30 in yarn. Simply Maggie sells the pattern for $3 on Etsy.

2. Faux sheepskin rug

Anne Weil of Flax & Twine literally wrote the book on arm knitting (it’s Knitting Without Needles). This cozy, vegan friendly faux sheepskin project can be found in that book and looks like the perfect way to add texture to your home.

3. Cat bed

BeCozi is where we purchased the yarn for our Facebook Live blanket, and the Michigan-based Etsy seller has video tutorials for arm knitting and crocheting alike. This one is for a cave-like cat bed your furry friend will love.

4. Tote bag

Another gorgeous project from Anne Weil‘s Knitting Without Needles, this tote adds a fabric lining and leather straps for a functional and stylish statement bag.

5. Heart-shaped blanket

Well, isn’t this just adorable. Nothing says “I love you” more than a big, soft heart.
