How to Remove Annoying Sticky Residue With One Common Household Item

Congratulations! You’ve just removed that ugly label from your prized possession, but now you’re faced with a new problem: sticky residue from said label. What’s the quickest and easiest way to make it disappear? Don’t worry, we’ve got your back- just start walking towards the pantry.

We feel pretty proud of ourselves for figuring out a quick and easy way to remove those pesky labels and stickers from bottles, but have been wondering what the simplest and greenest way to remove that leftover sticky residue from glass could be. Well, after a few tests we’ve come up with our favorite green method: olive oil.

Rub a few drops of oil over the sticky residue and let it sit for a few seconds.

Using your fingernails (or a razor blade, if you want to get fancy), scrape all over the area until the sticker goo starts to come up and collect in little clumps.

Once you’ve scratched up all the sticker goo, wipe the bottle with a clean paper towel. If any oil remains on the glass ,give it a rinse in the sink with a bit of dish soap to cut the oil.
