Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: Our home is an apartment in an 1860s building filled with old-world charm.

We restored it ourselves, keeping as much of the original features of the home as possible.

I am an architect, so I designed the interior myself. I am inspired by natural materials and soft, neutral textures.

I am a lover of simplicity, and I think that is reflected in the space as well.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Neutral, simple, Scandinavian-inspired

What is your favorite room and why? The living room because of its gorgeous natural light.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? I found this antique wood trunk on the street, brought it home, and restored it, and now it’s my favorite piece in the home.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Don’t follow trends and styles, build your collection of pieces you love with patience over time, and create a comfortable place that reflects your own way of living.
