Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My cozy West Village apartment is the epitome of the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City life. When I come home from work, the first thing I do is greet my pup, Ivy, and light a candle. I wanted to create a space that felt cozy and vibrant as well as functional. I also love people watching, so a fire escape overlooking the busiest street in the village was absolutely necessary. In the summer, you can find me on the fire escape with a glass of wine in hand.

I would say I’m very chill and go with the flow. I think the mix of neutrals with slight pops of color followed by greenery would describe me perfectly. I’m currently obsessed with burnt orange (hence the couch) and plants. I love faux plants because I do not have a green thumb, but believe it or not I’ve managed to keep a few real plants alive thus far! Coffee, yoga, and wine are also at the top of my list when it comes to my identity. This would explain the art on the walls near the coffee nook and my bar cart.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room would have to be my living room. I’m in love with sitting on my hammock swing with coffee and a good book in hand. I also love to cuddle up on my couch and watch “Sex and The City.” Sometimes it almost feels like I’m Carrie Bradshaw living her best life in the West Village — emphasis on sometimes. Although my living room has a very odd layout, I love the way it seems as if my small orange couch and decor fits perfectly where it’s supposed to. I also love to dance around the living room blaring Taylor Swift, and there is just enough space to make this happen!

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? My most recent purchase for my home was a globe of the entire world. I was browsing through TJ Maxx one day, and I knew I had to have it. I’m passionate about traveling, and I would travel all the time if I could, so a globe was necessary to pull my space together. It fits right in and reminds me that I haven’t been everywhere, but everywhere is on my list.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Natural, cozy, hygge, comfortable, eclectic

Any advice for creating a home you love? I think it’s important to make sure your home is functional because you do have to live in your space and you want to feel comfortable at home. I would suggest adding decor/furniture that matches your personality and makes you genuinely happy. When creating a space, take your time, enjoy the process no matter how long it takes to finish, and remember your home is ultimately where your heart is, so make it something you love.
