Name: Blandine, her husband, their 3 daughters, 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 horses
Location: Saint Germain au Mont d’or, France
The basics: 20 years, owned — 400 square meters/4,305 square feet

Blandine’s home is immaculately bohemian. Like pulled straight from the set design of your dreams. With a ton of color and amazing textiles, her farmhouse is spacious yet warm with bold pieces balanced against expansive walls.

Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: It’s a big old renovated farmhouse made of stones, near Lyon, France, with a courtyard full of flowers in the spring and summer and a pond to swim in. I design throw blankets and carpets for Loup Maison and I also exhibit my art creations in art galleries. My studio opens on the courtyard and my husband has his dojo (to do Tai Chi) made up with raw wood planks in the inner part of the courtyard.

We live with our three daughters, our two dogs (Samoyède and Jack Russel, our three cats and our two horses which graze around the house.

The living room is pretty vast, furnished with my throw blankets and carpets and pieces of bargain-hunted furniture.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is my studio (workshop) or my bedroom with its khaki/almond wall and white beams.

If you could magically change something about your home, what would it be?
I would like all the house to be perfectly renovated and “finished”… But we might get bored!

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? This big yellow piece of furniture which we transformed into the kitchen counter.

Which fictional character would be most at home in your place? Dalva (Jim Harrison)

Blandine’s words of wisdom: Take your time and preserve the spirit of the walls.

Thanks, Blandine!
