A Peek Inside a Charming 450 Square Foot Studio in Stamford
Name: Lauren, Tulip the cat and Alfee the rabbit
Location: Stamford, Connecticut
The basics: 4 months, rented | 450 square feet
Lauren’s lovely little studio is bright and calm. Using white to keep things light and airy helps the space feel open, but the personal accents keep the space from feeling impersonal or static.
Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I moved into my little 450 square foot studio apartment a few months ago after I graduated from college. It is located in downtown Stamford, Connecticut, and is a quick drive or metro ride from my job in New York! I live here with my cat, Tulip, and my rabbit, Alfee.
What is your favorite room and why? Well, it is a studio, so my favorite room is the whole apartment!
If you could magically change something about your home, what would it be? This is a tough one. Since I’m a renter, there is a lot I would like to magically change. Number one would probably be my kitchen. I would love fresh, white cabinets and added counter space. A cute kitchen to help me resist the temptation of take-out!
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The last thing I bought for my home is a painting that has yet to be installed. I attended this year’s Art to the Avenue in Greenwich, Connecticut, and absolutely fell in love. I can’t wait to have it on my wall!
Lauren’s words of wisdom: While it is tempting to follow trends, let yourself shine through! Surround yourself with pieces that are “you.”
Thanks so much, Lauren!
