Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: We moved in to this cookie-cutter house about six months ago. I am not a big fan of cookie cutters; they just lack a sense of personality. I have since embarked on many DIY projects that have added SO much character to our spaces. A wall-to-wall velvet headboard took our bedroom to another level.

A moody green statement wall in our entryway gave our space some much needed attitude. We are currently working on the kitchen: painting existing cabinets and installing some shelves. Our DIYs are so affordable and doable and have made such a difference! We still have lots of work to do , but I’m very pleased with the changes we’ve made in six short months.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Cozy Modern Boho

What is your favorite room and why? Hard to choose, but I would have to say our bedroom! When we moved in, the bedroom had green carpet and brown walls. It was the space I hated the most, and it’s tough when you don’t love your bedroom. A bedroom is your sanctuary! We painted the room white, added some vinyl wood flooring, and the wall-to-wall headboard. It is now my favorite space!!

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? A vintage mirror from a local thrift store! I’ve been on the hunt for a vintage gold mirror for months and finally found the perfect one!

Any advice for creating a home you love? Add shelves and hooks and other ways to easily personalize and change up your space easily! We added hooks to our entryway, shelves in the kitchen, a shelf above our couch, a ledge on our headboard… all these places are so fun to style and get creative with!
