So I’m not a decorator…like at all. But before the birth of my first child, I wanted to do a nursery. We didn’t know the gender so the room needed to be neutral.

I got a lot of ideas & inspiration from Apartment Therapy including all the IKEA hacks: shelves, bookshelves & cart. But I got most of my inspiration from this post.

Although the room looks mostly as it did when my son was born, I never managed to take any pictures until now because he’s about to get a big brother upgrade to his room. I’ve made a few additions along the way and I still have ideas that I haven’t executed. My decorating friends tell me that’s okay!

I know the room doesn’t look as amazing as so many of the rooms on your site, but I’m super proud of it. And I really appreciate all the inspiration from Apartment Therapy.

My Favorite Features of The Room Are:

  • The toy shelves featuring vintage toys that belonged to myself & my husband
  • The wall art from Daisy & Bump (via Etsy)
  • The wall paint (I’ve never painted a room anything but white before this)

Thanks, Sarah!
