After a long house hunt last year, I bought my first home in early October. It is a 1921 fixer-upper craftsman with good bones that I bought in lieu of having the money to buy a “nicer” place. But after much elbow grease I now have the house I couldn’t afford!

I am a special events designer by day and I run an online vintage shop by night. I think my space is unique as it is a showcases of my eclectic worldly style on a budget. I’m a thrifty lady from a family of artists and craftsman. Estate sales are my secret weapon for home decor steals.

I recently posted a big update on my blog and I think the before and after shots speak to first time home-buyers/millennials (I hate that word…but it’s true!). It’s all about taking a very blasé space and turning it into the house you really wanted but couldn’t afford. Here is that lil post I mentioned, with lots of links to the “before” oh-so-overcast looking space.

I hope my house tour can inspire other young buyers! (I closed on the house at 25!)

Thanks, Ana!
