Deep in the fern and moss forests of Skykomish, Washington, is a lovely A-frame cabin that makes for the perfect romantic getaway this coming Valentine’s. Called the Sky Haus, the two-story mid-century modern structure features a floor-to-ceiling window which gives guests stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. Other amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen, a gas fireplace, a bath, and a loft with four beds.

Just outside the door you can find a full-size hot tub and a fire pit. The slopes, meanwhile, are only 15 minutes away, in addition to other activities such as rafting, fishing, mountain biking at the nearby Stevens Pass, and hiking the trails that lead to Barclay Lake and Lake Serene. The rental also allows guests to access Timberlane Village’s private beach.

If the location looks oddly familiar, that’s because right next door is the iconic Tye Haus A-frame cabin, where many photographers and influencers have stayed. “Instagram fell in love with the place,” owner Tom Feldman told Outside Online, adding, “… it’s famous on Instagram for a reason. There’s so much to do up here.”

And if you want to bring your dog or cat along, the property is pet-friendly (though you’ll have to cough up an extra $50 per stay).

Sky Haus, approximately an hour and a half outside of Seattle, is available for rent for $220 per night on Airbnb.
