From Elizabeth: Welcome to our sunny Orange County apartment! We have just over 1,000 square feet and live in a pretty standard apartment complex. There are about 50 other units and we chose to live in close proximity to my boyfriend Jared’s workplace. I am a food and lifestyle blogger and I also work as an event planner in downtown LA.

As a rental apartment we wanted our home to still reflect us in easy and simple ways. We used lots of paint, removable wallpaper, linens, and textures to achieve said ‘homeyness’ that you don’t normally find in a cookie cutter. As a blogger I am constantly looking for fun finds at flea markets, Target, World Market, and H&M home. Living with a man for the first time was also a challenge in decor. Naturally I would have loved to paint the dining room pink but that wasn’t going to fly with my Bronco Football fan. I think our home embodies both of our styles in an “adult” way.

My favorite room in our house is the guest room. I really wanted this room to have a cozy feeling for anyone who stays with us. Having guests over and throwing dinners for friends and family is my absolute favorite. Guests are a big deal in our home. We threw on some calming removable wallpaper, filled the trundle bed with luscious white linens and lots of fresh plants for a calming vacation feel. Some of my favorite items in our home are the vintage colored glassware that I inherited from my great grandparents. We also chose the centerpiece of the living room to be three large maps of different places that we have lived. I love having decor pieces that have some meaning and not just because I ‘love’ them.

Thanks, Elizabeth !
