Caroline Lee is the founder of perhaps the most fun rug retailer in the world, Coco Carpets. She lives with her husband Jayden in the charming Los Angeles suburb of Atwater Village and boasts a wardrobe that is as colorful as her rugs and as vibrant as her personality. We coaxed the carefree Caroline into sharing some of her favorite wardrobe staples, which are helpful reminders that work and play do not have to be mutually exclusive.

Your very favorite outfit:: Most often found in? Lularoe leggings + a crop top. You can’t go wrong, y’know?! Or at least, that’s what I tell myself… besides that, I’m obsessed with high-waisted jeans and anything ’70s-inspired, and have been for about three years now.

The #1 item from your fashion wish list: Tom Ford sunnies. I’m not a massive splurge-r, but when it comes to sunnies and living in LA? I gotta.

The TV or movie characters’ wardrobe(s) you’d steal in a minute: Is Iris Apfel a character? She’s my ultimate.

Your best bargain find ever: Asos.com – the whole website! haha

3 things from your closet you couldn’t live without: Black leather jacket, Sseko Designs bangles, Pons slip-on shoes. Seriously, the effortless + practical are my constant go-tos.

The item you no longer have but wish you did: I had a favorite pair of button-front high waisted jeans from Urban Outfitters, and one day, they came out of the dryer and I put them on a did a really deep squat in them to loosen them up — they split in half. Saddest day of the year!

Most fashionable friend and why: My girl Dominique Pruitt (@tikidominiki) seriously knows what’s up… she can shift from chic overalls to rockabilly cowboy boots in seconds and make it look effortless!

Your typical work “uniform”: Lularoe leggings (sooo comfy) + a crop top. haha!

Best fashion advice: If you don’t wear something in 3 months, pop it on poshmark, sell it, and use the money to buy something new that you will wear. Rotate early + often!

FAVORITES:

Real life shop: Gorman in Australia…absolutely obsessed.

Online shop: asos.com! So many good finds.

Makeup brand: Lime Crime! Come on! Their lip velvets are to die for.

Haircare brand: Do people actually care for their hair? oops. I mean, I live by the powder dry shampoo by ACURE

Best jeans: BDGs from Urban Outfitters

Coolest sneakers: White converse. Can’t go wrong with the classics!

Signature scent: Patchouli oil! People either love it or hate it, and I love it.

Go-to source for style inspiration: ’70s photos on Pinterest
