Many little girls grew up pretending to be a princess and dressing up in fancy little dresses. If you grew up watching The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, and more, chances are you wanted to be just like them. Maybe you pretended to be Belle because you’re a brunette. Or maybe you wanted to be Mulan, so you could prove to all the boys at school you could kick their butt. Well, it doesn’t matter if you’re 5, 25, or 35, because the dream to be a princess is alive and real.

If you’re a Disney parks lover, you most likely know that princess makeovers are a huge deal but they’ve always been for children. Well, that is, until now! It was recently revealed that adults can finally partake in the magical makeover process now too.

Children’s princess makeovers take place in the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique salon and they include a lot of sparkles. Adults can head over to Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for their makeover. While children after often transformed into one of their favorite princesses, adults aren’t limited to just the Disney princess lineup. The makeovers allow adults to choose from a list of “character couture” makeovers.

Guest services manager, Joseph Motowidlak, explained to Today:

“We saw that our guests were coming up with outfits and entire ensembles inspired by Disney characters. We really saw a need for some kind of transformative makeover experience for people of all ages – something customised to allow guests to really enjoy their day on our property.
The main thing that makes the experience different than anything else is that it’s customisable. Our stylists have an extensive colour palette to work with and clients get to talk through their vision for their look with their stylist – whether that’s something subtle or more dramatic. Truly, the sky is the limit.”

The cost of a makeover, which includes hair, nails, and makeup, is $120. Adults don’t have to stick to traditional princesses. You can show your love for classic Disney characters like Minnie Mouse. Or maybe you weren’t a fan of the princesses, but instead liked the villains. You could easily be transformed into Ursula or the Evil Queen. You can read more about these makeovers on Disney’s website to find out how you can book your own.
