You Can Attend an Adults-Only Sleepover at the San Diego Zoo for Just $145
Going to the zoo is a very popular American past time. Every little kid has gone on a school field trip to the zoo at one point or another. Still, as adults, many of us are fascinated with going to the zoo to see all of the animals.
Some people fear that going to the zoo isn’t perpetuating the containment of animals, but that isn’t the case. A vast majority of zoos and aquariums in the U.S. are AZA accredited. That means they meet the standards required for animal care and management, as well as their veterinarian, conservation, and research efforts. One of the top zoos in the country is the San Diego Zoo.
If you live in California or have always wanted to travel there, this zoo is one trip you cannot skip. But it has gotten even better because now you can spend the night at the zoo! The San Diego Zoo is hosting an Adults-Only Roar & Snore event on select weekends between April and November. Some weekends even have fun, special themes! Guests will have access to the zoo from 4:15 P.M. through 9:30 A.M.
Discover the secret lives of animals through the kind of information we can only share with no children around! Special behind-the-scenes moments, evening hikes, and face time with critters fierce and friendly add a whole new meaning to the term “nightlife.”
There are a few options that you can choose from. If you’re fine with the Classic tent option, it is $145/per person. That includes food and drink, though there is also a cash bar available for adult beverages. The Classic tent includes a standard sleep pad. You can upgrade to the Vista tent for $185/per person and get a sleeping cot. The Premium tent option is $225 and it includes a queen bed, with pillows, linens, as well as a space heater and a fan. All prices are based on double occupancy!
