Looks like Disney World and Universal Studios aren’t the only central Florida attractions. Dubbed Great Escape Lakeside, the 13 bedroom house sleeps a whopping 43 people and is basically a theme park in its own right.
And with each room comes a different theme. There’s the Scrabble bedroom with maroon walls and painted on letter tiles; the Pictionary bedroom with bunk beds done up in blue and yellow (along with a matching bathroom), and the Monopoly room, where the walls are painted like spaces on the board—not forgetting railroads and luxury tax. An Operation-themed bathroom—one of eleven in the property—even includes an enlarged working replica of the game board on the wall.
The house is the brainchild of Andrew Greenstein, who opened the place to the public in 2016. And the rooms aren’t just for looks—there’s plenty of games to be played. Examples: the pinball machines and Plinko in the game show den, a giant chess set in the living room, and the actual clues hidden in the Clue-themed room (“My family and I have played in escape rooms across the world and wanted to bring that idea here,” Greenstein told the Orlando Sentinel).
If you don’t want to stay cooped up inside, there’s plenty of fun to be had outside. There’s a 20,000 gallon pool with a lazy river, a human foosball setup, and human bowling. If you prefer a simpler outdoor experience, the lake awaits with kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats.
