I’m Obsessed with This Ingenious Travel Cup That Holds Both Sips and Snacks — and It’s on Sale
After a long (loooong) winter, temperatures are finally rising, days are lasting longer, and trees are getting greener — which means you’re probably itching to get out to the park, the pool, or any other open-air oasis where you can safely commune in the sunshine with your friends. And since thirsty and hangry is never a good look, let me introduce you to my favorite new must-have for the season: Snackeez. A portable cup and a food container in one, it enables you to hold your sips and snacks in one hand, leaving the other open for fist bumps and Frisbee catching. I’ve been using it for several months now, and it’s seriously a game changer.
You might have seen this simple-yet-genius solution advertised for kids, but (like fidget spinners and Beanie Babies) they are just as popular with adults. As one Amazon reviewer notes, “I bought this for my child, but I keep putting wine in the bottom and cheese in the top. Soooooo… great for all ages!” Simply fill the 16-ounce cup with your favorite drink, screw the 8-ounce food container on top and load it up with snacks, and snap the hinged cover into place. Slide in the straw, and you’re ready to go. No more sticking your hand into a communal snack bowl or confusing your Solo cup with someone else’s. Snackeez even has a built-in rubberized sleeve to give you a no-slip grip to help prevent spills. And when you get home, just pop the cup onto the top rack of the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
I’ve used my Snackeez on a slew of different occasions, from birthday parties in the park to an al-fresco Super Bowl party. I’ve even brought it with me into the ocean, and, though it was exposed to some minor splashing, my snacks and drink remained salt water free. Plus, if you’re bringing your four-legged friend with you, Snackeez is a fantastic way to make sure they have what they need, too. “This cup is a great way to give your pet a drink while traveling,” says another Amazon reviewer. “Put the water in the bottom glass. When you want to give them a drink pour a little in the snack holder and they drink and then close the lid.”
My one complaint about Snackeez is the straw. It’s a bit too long and creates too much suction when I drink. I suggest swapping it out with a reusable straw that’s a tiny bit shorter. This easy switch made my Snackeez pretty much perfect.
If you’re planning to spend more time outside this season, chances are you’ll want to have a Snackeez on hand as well. The good news is it’s currently on sale for $10. So buy a few for your squad, slap on some sunscreen, and head out into the great wide open — with food and drink, of course.
Buy: Snackeez, $9.88 (usually $14.99)
