Award-winning actor and artist Anthony Hopkins can now add one more skill to his résumé that has nothing to do with Hollywood: Candle connoisseur. The famed actor recently launched the Anthony Hopkins Fragrance Collection, a selection of candles, diffusers, and a gender-neutral perfume, last month. All proceeds benefit No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit organization working to end childhood hunger across America. The “luxurious creations” are “mystical alchemy that awakens a sense of harmony,” per the fragrance collection.

Like so many other projects, Hopkins’ fragrance collection culminated during all that time in quarantine. “I thought, ‘What am I going to do?’ So, I painted and played the piano. I do everything I can to stop going crazy,” Hopkins told Architectural Digest of the collection, citing the fact that he’s “always been a bit hyperactive.” Suddenly, Hopkins said, “The idea came to me about the crisis of kids going hungry. I wanted to give back. So the purpose of this brand of fragrance is rooted in my commitment to the partnership with No Kid Hungry.”

The results are three fragrances—Sandalwood, Amber Noir, and Gardenia Tuberose—available in both candle ($45 each) and diffuser ($50 each) form. The pièce de résistance is the AH Eau de Parfum ($75), a gender-neutral perfume with notes of bergamot, orange blossom, and musk. According to Hopkins, one purchase can provide up to 50 meals. “We’re all caught up in this unprecedented, unknown situation, and I want to help kids in it because it must be deeply confusing to them,” he told AD.

Each product packaging also comes with different artwork created by Hopkins himself. For the Gardenia Tuberose candles and diffusers, for example, is artwork of an elephant—a nostalgic nod to the actor’s childhood. “I chose different pieces [to be incorporated] like George the elephant,” Hopkins added. “When I was a little kid, my grandfather used to take me to the circus. My grandfather used to call me George. So that became part of it. I chose the works at random because I never plan anything.”
