I Snagged Anthropologie’s Viral Blanket — It Made My Apartment Look Vintage Overnight
As an avid lover of all things vintage, the flea market was my first stop on my hunt for unique decor to make my new apartment feel more like “home.” At my local market in Park Slope, Brooklyn, my eyes instantly zeroed in on a stunning painting from the 1860s in an original wood frame. I instantly knew it would be perfect for my bedroom.
With this new statement artwork sitting above my bed, I began looking for one final finishing touch that had the same old-school feel and warmth as this piece. And as is often the case, I ended up finding the perfect vintage-inspired piece by Anthropologie: the tapestry throw blanket of my dreams.
Anthropologie’s Vintage-Inspired Woven Jacquard Patterned Throw Blanket
Anthropologie’s Woven Jacquard Patterned Throw Blanket is a fabulous addition to any lounging space, and it’s especially perfect on my bed. At 50’x70’, this blanket is just shy of completely covering a full-size bed, and folds nicely to lay over the width of a queen bed or sofa. Its perimeter is finished with a charming fringe that adds a pop of texture, and the ultralightweight cotton blend material is supersoft and cozy.
I chose the Francois Tapestry colorway, and I’m obsessed; the style does come in two other patterns as well. And because this blanket is woven, not printed, the design has an authentic look and distinctly vintage-y vibe (and without the scratchy wool of your average thrift store throw!).
Why I Love the Woven Jacquard Patterned Throw Blanket
When it comes to curating my new apartment, my goal is to replicate the vibe of a cozy vintage shop. With that in mind, any space is instantly elevated by a tapestry. This particular throw incorporated the same color palette as my vintage painting — with dark greens, browns, and pops of pink — and the floral pattern reminds me so much of an antique European tapestry you’d find in a museum.
Not only is it cute and cozy, this throw is also perfectly on-trend, too. According to Apartment Therapy’s recent State of Home Design survey, designers agreed that vintage textiles will be all the rage in 2026 — so it’s no wonder these blankets are selling fast!
And on top of all of this, the price tag is far below that of similar blankets on the market; for under $75, this blanket is the soft, cozy, timeless piece that made the perfect finishing touch for my bedroom. Make sure to grab one for yourself while you still can — I have a feeling these are going to sell out fast.
