An Apartment in an 18th-Century Swiss Farmhouse Is Aspirationally Cozy
This 904-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment is located is an old farmhouse constructed in the 18th century. Located in Möhlin, Switzerland, the apartment was remodeled in 2023, making it a “modern, clean, and elegant” canvas for Viviane Lüdi and her partner, who began renting the unit a year and a half ago.
This is the first home that Viviane and her partner have shared together, and they fell in love with it when they saw it online. She describes the apartment before they moved in as “filled with light and a modern touch through the combination of wood and concrete.”
They picked furniture out together, though Viviane admits she picked a lot of the decor and art herself. Today, she describes the space as “full of life and Scandi-inspired” and joyful, too. “I started with the classic beige/white color palettes, but as time passed more color moved in and sparks joy with statement pieces.”
“It grew with us over the last year and feels like a real sanctuary when the world around us gets a little too hectic,” Viviane writes.
