Name: Amélie Location: Brussels, Belgium I was born in Brussels from French parents but was lucky to grow up in different countries and to discover new cultures. My childhood and teenage years were spent in the sunshine of Morocco and Cyprus, while I became more and more curious about art in New York. Seeking my roots, I studied communication and advertising in the City of Light: Paris; where I also started my first job as a communication officer in an art gallery.

Before & After: A Tiny Powder Room Gets Patterned

We never tire of tiny powder rooms that get a dose of bold style from DIY pattern, and this room is no different! What started out actually as a larger room became smaller when more space was needed for another part of the house. But any deficit of space isn’t missed one bit with the exciting makeover these creative folks gave the room! From Joanie and LinMara: We had a dysfunctional bathroom with a shower we did not need. We converted that bathroom into a tiny, narrow powder room.

Sturdy, industrial materials are combined with plush fabrics and personal accents from David’s childhood to create a handsome and inviting space with a healthy dose of personality. In just 1 month, David has turned a stark, cavernous studio into a functional and cozy living space.
