Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I am originally from Brazil, and my photographer husband, Paul, is British. For the past 12 years, we’ve made Sussex home. But I always loved the Southwest landscape a LOT, so we moved to Devon three months ago. I am a self-taught artist, and I began selling my bespoke portraits in May 2018. Since then, I’ve created several hundreds of bespoke portraits including of people’s beloved pets. I created my own style by using a minimal block of colors.
We are very minimal and storage is an important thing because I don’t like seeing clutter. Our home is very colourful, and it reflects our local landscape and personalities.
My husband and I love the outdoors and going out to discover new places and beaches whilst listening to podcasts — it’s our favourite thing to do. Since we moved in October 2020, we have been very busy making this house our home.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Bold, fun, spacious, colourful, and quirky
What is your favorite room and why? Our favorite space in the house is definitely the hallway. I recently painted the wall mural inspired by the local landscape and the work of Jean Dubuffet.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The lighting is from Habita.
Any advice for creating a home you love? Having plenty of storage space and choosing the right colours to match your personality.
