Ashley Tisdale’s Pink Wavy Mirror Is Peak Glam
Ashley Tisdale has graduated from teen Disney Channel star to interior design influencer and it’s been hard not to fall for every single thing she’s purchased for her Hollywood home. The latest home accessory fans are obsessing over is Tisdale’s vintage mirror that has made a comeback in a big way.
In early September, Tisdale posted a selfie taken in her lit-up wavy-framed mirror, and she featured it again in a roundup of pictures from her Labor Day weekend. “OMG!! That Mirror!!!” one follower commented. Another wrote, “Can someone tell me the brand of the mirror please?”
The piece is called the Ultrafragola and was designed by Ettore Sottsass in the 1970s as part of the designer’s Mobili Grigi series of bedroom and living room objects. However, the mirror was the only piece to make it beyond the prototype phase and was crafted and sold by Italian furniture manufacturing company Poltronova.
The frame around the mirror is actually white opaline acrylic and turns pink when the LED light inside is switched on.
Secondhand, you can find authentic originals for upward of $20,000 through gallery websites and online dealers. Or, you can find new made-to-order Ultrafragolas through Jane Richards Interiors. Each one is handmade in Italy and comes with authenticity cards and serial numbers. One of these new models will set you back £7,500 ($10,385). However, if you can’t sink over $10,000 into the designer piece, there are fun, affordable dupes out there like this one from Etsy. Thankfully, Ultrafragola-style mirrors are on trend, which means you can find a pink wavy mirror pretty much anywhere.
Just like Tisdale, your selfie game will only get better if and when there’s a groovy pink mirror involved.
