I bought my home in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles about two years ago after a really long and exhausting real estate search. I was just about to give up entirely and rent forever, and then by some fluke I landed this place.

Some things are totally meant to be. It’s a three-bedroom, two-bath Craftsman house originally built in 1914. The house was renovated right before I purchased it, and I think the previous owners did such a great job of opening up the rooms while still maintaining the Craftsman details.

They kept many of the original windows including a huge picture window in the living room, and even some of the original hardwood floors. From my own personal design standpoint, this house is a work in progress.

My wish list of improvement projects grows by the day, but the thing I love the most is that the house looks great as is. It’s pretty much a blank canvas and I am completely comfortable living here until my budget allows me to bring all the ideas in my head to life.

My style is a mixture of modern and classic. I love to keep things clean and simple with a neutral palette. I love this house and it’s the perfect place to entertain.
