“We love the wall of big, beautiful mid-century windows, which get beautiful indirect light all day long (my plants are happy here!). We don’t have to be precious about the floors or walls. It’s all very lived-in,” Nelius continues of their house, which is located in Austinmer, an hour south of Sydney on the South Coast of New South Wales.

“We love the separate studio at the back of the yard where I paint and visitors stay. The separate laundry room is a delight having come from apartment living in the big city. The garden has been so thoughtfully landscaped and has been surprising us with so much beauty every season of our first year here. We especially love the neighborhood, quiet street, the birds and wildlife, and the privacy this home offers.”
