“Bachelor” Nation Alum Katie Thurston’s NYC Apartment Got a Glow-Up
When Bachelor Nation alum Katie Thurston and husband, comedian Jeff Arcuri, first moved in together, Katie was moving across the country and didn’t bring a ton of stuff with her. “As far as Jeff’s style, he was a simple man living that bachelor pad life,” Katie admits. “Once we moved in together, we agreed to start with a blank slate and mesh our styles together.”
Katie says her previous apartment had a “clean, modern look, while Jeff’s was more of a masculine decor” style. So the couple partnered with Havenly to help them turn their blank slate into a cozy home for them both. The style they decided to go with to meet both their aesthetic needs? Mid-century modern.
“It allowed for fun colors and mixes of both our styles. Given that we both come from an entertainment background, we wanted our place to reflect that with a vibrant personality,” Katie explains. “I got to incorporate some soft touches with pink velvet lamps and creamy fabrics while also intertwining Jeff’s style with bold colors like our green couch and mustard keyboard. “
Not only has the home become a cozy, layered home that matches both of their personalities, but it’s also been meaningful to Katie to create a sanctuary while she’s been going through serious health challenges.
