Kea Bryant has been renting this Baltimore townhouse for just one month, and pays $1850 a month in rent: My home is calm and peaceful. The earthy texture makes it comfy and cozy. The open layout makes it so it always feels clutter-free. It’s the perfect place to unwind or have conversations and cocktails. I love statement pieces because it’s my own artistic personal touch. I’ve thrifted about 80 percent of the items in my home.

I’m African American and so my place definitely pays homage to my ancestors and Black heritage. I love vibrant, bold, and dark moody colors. So all of the art pieces reflect that. I love natural elements. It keeps me grounded. I’m constantly evolving and I feel like my taste and spaces constantly reflect my current state of mind.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is the private patio. I call it the urban oasis. It’s like a private paradise! Its tucked away and looks like it’s a part of a tropical resort. I can relax there, read there, sleep there. Makes me feel like I’m in a completely different part of the world.
