The client, Kristen, had a great upholstered bed and a fantastic classic chair in her guest room, along with some ultra-vibrant apple green walls. While the bold color was a definite wow, it wasn’t exactly tranquil, which is what she was hoping for in this space, so it had to go. She went the makeover route in hope of ending up with a more pulled together, cohesive and welcoming room.

A focus on texture (rattan, velvet, sheepskin, cowhide) and a cohesive Scandinavian neutrals color scheme (oatmeal, gray, white, brown, black) bring together the eclectic mix of vintage and new pieces to create a clean, cozy spot for guests. The gray bed looks fantastic against the newly warm-white walls and the addition of the matching side tables and lamps makes the space much more visually balanced (as well as more comfortable to spend the night in!).
