Before & After: Blue Dresser Gets a Deep Sea Treatment
Shannon needed an easy way to update a dresser she found boring, and cycled through several ideas of what to do with it. She has tons of materials stored at home, so the solution came one day when she simply opened a drawer. See what she had on hand, and what she did with the dresser:
To switch up the fronts, Shannon thoroughly cleaned the dresser drawers, measured and cut maps slightly larger than the drawer fronts, applied a thin layer of (watered down) glue, and slowly smoothed out any bubbles that formed when she placed the paper. She let everything dry face down, then applied one more coat of glue to the top of the paper. After sanding down the edges (using quick long strokes) of the paper to get them to size, she then touched up any loose edges with more glue.
Thanks for sharing Shannon! See more of the project, over at Shannon’s blog, Electric Belle.
