Before & After: Two Tone Coffee Table Makeover
Catherine’s husband Danny owned this rather orange coffee table when they first met, and she freely admits to having spent the last few years moving it around the house in an attempt to hide its rather bright hue. The flaking finish plus some penmanship practice in one corner made this piece ripe for a makeover once Catherine found her inspiration in a post by a fellow blogger.
Catherine painted the base of the table a bright white to help lift the lounge room that currently houses the piece. She then removed that horrible old orange finish from the top, revealing the lovely wood underneath. Finally, she gave the top several coats of dark stain in order to acheive the chocolately tones she prefers. The end result is a solid piece that helps anchor her room — a piece that should withstand all her family can throw at it for years to come.
