We LOVE when folks take something pretty forgotten and with a little work, turn it into something unforgettable. That’s what Susan did with this beat-up and battered old bar cart. Twenty dollars and a makeover later, and she now has a pretty, golden bar cart!

From Susan:

This battered old cart was hanging out in my basement. After emptying its contents at a garage sale, I decided to give it new life, since I loved the style of the wire side pieces.

I flipped over the cardboard shelves so they would hold bar items securely. With spray adhesive, I attached woven fabric from an unused window shade after lightly dusting it with gold spray paint. Then I lined both shelves with inexpensive white tiles from Home Depot. The metal handles and side pieces got more gold spray paint, and the wheels got some fresh black paint. A little glamour for about $20! Great job! We love the addition of woven fabric — it really changes the whole feel of the piece. Thank you Susan!
