I’m always amazed by people who are able to see the potential in somewhat ordinary pieces of furniture. This cabinet had been put out to pasture by a local school and Naomi snatched it up knowing it could be something beautiful.

From Naomi: When I salvaged this old cabinet from the nurse’s office of a local school that was about to be demolished, it was gross – dirty, rusty, and covered with some strange gunk. But I knew that the sleek shape and modern chrome handles had potential.

With a friend’s help, I cleaned and sanded it down, and coated it with fresh white paint. I wanted to create a graphic pattern all over it, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of taping it off. Instead, I used adhesive vinyl for a high-gloss pattern with clean edges!

Now it is nearly unrecognizable, but still provides great storage. I’m so glad I saved it from the trash heap!
