My clients had a very dated kitchen, but with three kids and the oldest going off to college in two years, they wanted to do a budget friendly remodel using the existing kitchen cabinets and footprint of the space.

The overhanging upper cabinets were removed and the remaining cabinets were refaced with moulding and paint. Carrera marble countertops and 2″x8″ tile backsplash added some drama and money was saved by simply replacing the dated electric cooktop with a sleeker new black version and adding a new brushed nickel hood — instead of upgrading and adding a gas stove.

The faucet is an affordable gem found at Amazon.com and the light fixtures were also under $100 each. The project was completed in six weeks!

Thank you Leslie!
