We’ve all seen them before: those sort of faux-wood furniture pieces that aren’t exactly screaming style but could still function in your space if you need it. Instead of letting this piece stay dark and sad, Cassie gave it the Midas touch for a cabinet that now exudes sophistication.

These faux wood cabinets were in need of a makeover that would take them out of the realm of 1970 office furniture. I sanded them and primed them and then painted them with General Finishes Snow White paint. To add some interest and glamour, I gold leafed the edges, and rub and buffed the feet and hardware. They now serve as nightstands and help hide all of our clutter!
