Barbara was tasked with creating a living space that reflected the personality and interests of her clients, all while making sure it was baby friendly. She added pattern, texture and soothing color to create a welcoming family living room.

From Barbara: The clients who just moved into this space really wanted their vibrant and eclectic personalities to shine through into their new home just outside of Boston. The before pictures show a fairly empty living room with old furniture that didn’t suit their style or the scale. So we traded everything out for beautiful pieces that would be comfortable for guests and the new baby on the way!

The fireplace wall was accented with a gorgeous patterned wallpaper (Thibaut’s Medallion Paisley) and bookshelves were styled with objects collected from their travels. A beautiful ballerina print from Crete centers the space and an upholstered chenille sofa will definitely be comfortable for nap time.

Adding in natural wood tones, greenery, a textured rug and colorful throw pillows really gave that eclectic vibe. Most importantly the space now reflects their unique style and really feels like home.
