When I first looked over a few snapshots of Adrien and Jon’s house in anticipation of shooting their House Tour, I immediately latched onto the palm frond chair. I had been looking for the perfect palm fabric for a personal project and begged Adrien to reveal her source.

I was soon on my way to downtown L.A. to scoop up some of the Tommy Bahama (yup, that’s right) Swaying Palms fabric from Michael Levine. Fortunately for all of us, the tropical print has a friendly price point and is available in both a linen blend and an outdoor fabric.

Adrien found the chair in its previous turquoise incarnation at the Melrose Trading Post flea market, and since she reupholstered it and topped it off with some custom-made yellow velvet pillows (fabric also from Michael Levine), it has become what she refers to as her “favorite piece ever!” That is high but well-earned praise for this one-of-a-kind resting spot in a colorful and eclectic home.
