Turning this barn door into a beautiful headboard was technically pretty simple. All it really required was hours and hours and days and never-ending hours of sanding.

Mike Adamick, author of Dad’s Book of Awesome Projects and general dad extraordinaire, worked with his daughter Emme to turn this old barn door into a headboard for their family bed. On his blog, he walks you through the steps from start to completion with a healthy dose of hilarity along the way. It’s a great project for kids to engage in since simple sanding is the key task. And you’re going to want some help with that sanding.

Thank you Mike!
