We love a good freebie-turned-functional piece, and this one is no different. Taiyo spotted this trunk in the trash and transformed it into a stylish staple:

From Taiyo:

I noticed this trunk peeking from a pile of other junk that my neighbors had thrown out. My roommate and I carried it back in the dark and hoped it’d look decent in the daylight, which it did. It took a lot of scrubbing to get rid of the grime but it was worth it! I had the paint lying around from a different project and the whole thing took about half a day— not bad for a new free coffee table.

Thank you Taiyo!
