This children’s rocker had definitely seen better days… like during the bygone decades when marbled vinyl was a thing. Charlotte plans to reupholster a lot this year, and thought she’d literally start small and tackle this kids chair. See how she did:

From Charlotte:

I’ve had this yellow vinyl rocking chair in the basement for… a while. But 2015 is going to be the year of upholstery for me so I decided to start out on this little piece. The yellow vinyl was so disgusting that I’m thrilled to be rid of. I wasn’t *planning* on color blocking the chair when I reupholstered it, but I didn’t eye the fabric remnant I had in my closet very well and I was juuuuuust short. But I LOVE the way this ultimately came out. Because this was for the kids, I cut some corners like sewing piping, but no matter how much I cheated, it’s still a MILLION times better for our home than the vinyl.
